Sara NavidazarSARA NAVIDAZAR

The ability to be creative, to be strategic, to communicate ideas, and to measure the results were the elements of marketing that inspired Sara. With an education in Marketing Management and Sociology, she has attained the ability to take in the big picture, the ability to bring multiple sources of information to bear on a problem, the ability to take the role of the other, and ability to communicate to different audiences. With this unique educational background, Sara brings an equally unique perspective to Flipside Marketing. Sara has spent the last 3 years working in the high-tech industry, acquiring expert Online Marketing skills. Enthusiastic about fundraising, she has made significant contributions in planning and promoting numerous events —raising over $20,000 for charitable causes. Her other experiences span into the travel & tourism industry, the entertainment sector, and the health industry. A strong believer in continuous learning, she is always looking for opportunities to grow her skills and knowledge through education. The desire to co-found Flipside Marketing stems from Sara’s vision to uniquely communicate ideas using the most lucrative marketing tactics today.

 

 

Lama Al-AzzehLAMA AL-AZZEH

Having lived in 3 different countries, Lama’s interest in culture and travel were cultivated at an early age. With a strong work ethic and an ambitious nature, Lama graduated with distinctive honours from the John Molson School of Business, Concordia University in Montreal with a Bachelor of Commerce specializing in Marketing and International Business. In the last 5 years Lama has become a dynamic and seasoned marketing & business development director with a successful background in sales and marketing of business to business events, campaigns and communication mediums. As Marketing and Special Events Director of a small business association, Lama implemented and executed various strategic marketing campaigns employing traditional media, web and email marketing and event sponsorship for Fortune 500 companies. Lama also planned, marketed and secured exhibit and sponsorship opportunities for an annual national business conference with a total promotional budget allocation of $250,000. More recently as Director, Business Development for a national investor-focused radio program, Lama substantially increased revenue and continuously exceeded quota expectations while also managing marketing initiatives and product expansion strategies. The unique skill-set honed as a result of exposure to both the marketing and sales functions allows Lama to regard and develop campaigns mindful of this intrinsic relationship. The result is a proficiency to develop strategies and plans that positively impact the bottom line. Fluent in Arabic, Lama also aims to bridge business connections to the Middle East as an emerging and lucrative market.
 

 


Will PrattWILL PRATT


“Persistence and positive thinking is the key to success”

Will’s education began at the University of Manitoba, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Psychology. After moving to Vancouver in 2001, Will graduated with honours from the Marketing Communications program through BCIT.  Will obtained various contract work after graduation as a marketing consultant. Taking a hands-on approach with clients, Will gained experience in tradeshow marketing, event planning and promotion, guerilla marketing, fund development, sponsor negotiation, strategic planning, business to business sales, and media relations. Currently Director of Development and Marketing for Out On Screen, Will works with donors and sponsors to ensure one of the cities largest cultural events continues be a success.  Responsible for assisting in the planning and execution of all marketing tactics, Will leads a team of staff and volunteers to promote an event that is attended by over 10,000 people. During his time at BCIT Will co-founded the “Aim to Aid” charity golf tournament benefiting the Dr. Peter Centre, a place where he regularly volunteered. Living, working and volunteering in the West End for the past 7 years Will is a well-known member of the community. In his spare time Will enjoys spending time with his friends, meeting new people, tennis, and equestrian sports.
